Academic Librarians Salary Survey Report Now Available

VLA’s Personnel Committee is pleased to announce the publication of its new report:

Salaries and Benefits:

A Survey of Vermont Academic Librarians.

Unlike the annual ALA-APA salary survey, VLA’s survey gathered data from every academic institution in Vermont. Seventy-one of 116 MLS librarians responded to questions about their job responsibilities, length of time in their current position and in the profession, and their annual pay and benefits packages. Their responses, combined with institutional data (enrollment, library budget and staffing, etc.), provide a rich picture of the diversity of compensation among academic librarians in the state.

The full report is available at

Thanks to all who participated in the survey – without your input, there would be no report!
