With NELA 2017 in our backyard (October 2017 in South Burlington), the 123rd Vermont Library Conference (VLC 2017) will be a low-cost unconference, a participant-driven program where attendees choose the topics for discussion and become active participants in the conversation.

9:00-10:15 Welcoming remarks, awards, and recognition. Participants suggest discussion topics for breakout sessions, schedule organized by VLC 2017 planning team

11:45 Lunch and staggered section meetings for Public Libraries, College and Special Libraries/HIRT, Friends and Trustees, Technical Services, Youth Librarians (and VSLA), and Green Mountain Library Consortium

Directions to Killington

Map your drive to the Killington Grand Resort and Hotel using directions from Google to 228 East Mountain Road, Killington, VT 05751. From Route 4 in Killington, take Killington Road up the mountain, turn left onto East Mountain Road, and your second right is the entrance to the resort. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel.

Wednesday Night Accommodations

Overnight accommodations at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel are available by calling 800-282-9955. Please mention the Vermont Library Conference when you make your reservation to qualify for the group rate of $130/night plus tax and fees.

Wednesday Night Meet-Up in Killington

Join hosts Jane Ramos, Director of the Sherburne Memorial Library in Killington, and Toni Fortini Josey, VLC 2017 Chair, for a pre-unconference meet-up on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in Preston’s, located on the conference center level of the resort. No RSVP required.

For Exhibitors and Sponsors

The VLC 2017 Exhibitor table rate is $175 and includes conference admission for one (meals included), logo placement in the printed conference program, an 8′ table, two chairs, drape and skirt, and a wastebasket. Table space is limited and granted on a first come, first serve basis. Purchase tickets for additional attendees separately. Additional charges for electrical and AV are payable directly to the resort.

Conference Sponsorships start at $300 and include all Exhibitor benefits.
