Director - Poultney Public Library (Poultney, VT)

The Trustees of the Poultney Public Library seek a Library Director responsible for the administration, supervision and coordination of all policies, activities, and services.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s plus library-related experience and willingness to earn Vermont Library Certification within 5 years; strong team-building spirit; MLS desirable. Salary: $27,260 plus benefits, including health insurance, VMERS, and 3 weeks paid vacation.

This is a 32-hour exempt position requiring evenings and weekends. EOE

  1. The salary for this position is shameful, even by Vermont standards. Running a library requires skills, experience and aptitude beyond the bachelor’s degree and library directors deserve to be paid more than this position is offering. Shame on you Poultney.
