The position of Educational Program Leader (EPL) brings literacy and enrichment to youth from 0 to 18 years old. EPL will be on the road driving the Franklin-Grand Isle Bookmobile as well as in the office. The EPL delivers story time to child care settings and other sites across the region. Data tracking is a key element requiring use of Microsoft Excel and other computer programs as needed. Additionally there will be office time for computer, phone, planning, meetings, organizing activities, events and fundraising.

The position is open immediately and anticipated to follow the school year ending June 30 with school vacations off/unpaid. Anticipated to be 30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday 6 hours per day, Fridays 5 hours and 4 hours monthly for evening and weekend events.

The Franklin Northwest Supervisory Union The FNWSU oversees five schools in northwest Vermont including elementary schools in the towns of Highgate, Franklin, Sheldon, and Swanton. Each of the schools house grades K-6 except Sheldon which has a K-8 program.

Job Requirements
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record, with minimum of 1 year driving experience.

    Proficient in computer use.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, use tools and operate controls of vehicles and equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with arms or hands. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision abilities. The employee must be able to drive after dark. The employee must be able to transport materials and equipment from building to building. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
