Irene Recovery Grants for Non-Profit Organizations

The Vermont Community Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of grants to help Vermont nonprofit organizations affected by Tropical Storm Irene. Online applications are available on our website.

In talking with nonprofit and community leaders across the state, it is clear that many nonprofits in Vermont were greatly affected by Tropical Storm Irene. In addition to widespread damage of facilities and materials, many organizations are facing an increased need for their services. It is our hope that this fund will help ensure that nonprofit organizations get the support they so urgently need.

Organizations may apply for up to $5,000 to support repair and recovery for damage sustained from the storm or to cover increased demand for services being provided to those affected by the storm. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and grant decisions are made within two weeks of the submission date.
