Associate Director for Systems and Metadata - St. Michael’s College (Colchester, VT)

Saint Michael’s College is seeking an innovative librarian for the position of Associate Director for Systems and Metadata at the Durick Library. This is a new position which focuses on the creative application of search and metadata systems to serve students and faculty in a liberal arts environment.Responsibilities include management of the content and operations of the library’s search and metadata systems, including the Voyager integrated library system, link resolver, and federated search. Other duties include management of three cataloging and periodicals staff members, liaison with IT, and reference service. Requirements include an ALA MLS and experience in systems. The Durick Library has a staff of 21, houses 260,000 volumes and provides access to 35,000 online periodicals. All librarians have the option to participate in academic advising, library instruction, and web development in a collegial work environment.
