The Rockingham Free Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, collegial and service-oriented individual to provide excellent customer service as the Reference and Historical Collection Librarian. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and patrons, expert knowledge of library reference services and current technology, including the ability to manage and troubleshoot software and equipment.
Primary responsibilities: overseeing reference services and the historical collection, network and technology administration, development of innovative library services, collection development, technology and reference training for staff and patrons, and circulation desk duties.
Education: Masters of Library Science, OR Bachelor’s Degree and Vermont Public Library Certification.
Experience and skills: Professional library experience, knowledge of current technologies and integrated library systems, excellent communication skills and attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a busy library setting, ability to work flexible hours, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational & interpersonal skills.

Pay range is $19.33 to $24.15 per hour, with benefits
