Library Assistant I – Richards Free Library (Newport, NH)

Library Assistant I is a (21-25 hours/week) position managing a busy circulation desk. Assistant Library Director IV – Albany Public Library (Albany, NY)

Albany Public Library is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, experienced professional for the position of Assistant Library Director IV. In this position, the Assistant Library Director reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for supervision of public service departments and library security, and assisting with facilities management, grant writing, and development. Circulation Desk Assistant – South Burlington Community Library (So. Burlington, VT)

Library Director – Brown Public Library (Northfield, VT)

The Brown Public Library located in Northfield, Vermont (the home of Norwich University), seeks an energetic and collaborative library director for a salaried position (30 hours/week) with benefits.  The Town of Northfield (population of approximately 6,000) has a strong tradition of community support for their library.  The director manages the day-to-day operations of the library and works with the library Trustees to develop goals, policies and budgets.  Among the director’s responsibilities are staffing, collection development, programming, and oversight of the facility and technology.  The successful candidate must work closely with a diverse group of people to help lead the library in new directions while respecting tradition and current strengths.  S/he must be able to build relationships within the community, prioritize, multi-task, and use internet and social media to market the library.  Taking risks will be encouraged as we move forward to implement the expansion of information technology, electronic books, media and services for our 21st century patrons.

Collection Assessment and Analysis Librarian – Dartmouth College Library (Hanover, NH)

Dartmouth College Library seeks a service-oriented, intellectually curious collection development librarian to provide system-wide leadership and support in the assessment and analysis of the Library’s collections activities. Reporting to the Head of Acquisitions Services, the Collection Assessment and Analysis Librarian will work with acquisitions colleagues, librarians from across the system, and others involved in collections activities to develop qualitative and quantitative methods of assessing the value and effectiveness of the Library’s collection development program and how well it anticipates the current and future needs of the Dartmouth community. The Librarian is a member of the Acquisitions Management Team and participates in the hiring, training, management and supervision of Acquisitions staff and in departmental planning.  The Librarian will be part of a growing assessment capacity in an Acquisitions Department that is reorienting itself for the future. S/he will work closely with the Associate Librarian for Information Resources to assess the value and outcomes of collaborative arrangements with other institutions and to help establish strategic priorities that support College and Library academic goals. In addition, s/he will work with collection analysis colleagues across the BorrowDirect partnership to meet the information needs of students and faculty across the nine member institutions.

This position has all responsibilities associated with faculty rank and tenure. Under the administrative review of the Dean of the Library, the Head of Library Systems & Emerging Technologies Librarian leads the evaluation and implementation of new technological services, and is responsible for the creation of policies and procedures in support of library systems and technologies. This librarian has responsibility for the maintenance of turnkey library systems operations, supervises staff, is the library’s webmaster, serves as liaison to vendors, and collaborates with campus and off campus constituencies.
