Collections Librarian/Manager of Cataloging and Acquisitions – Middlebury College (Middlebury, VT)

Position Summary and Responsibilities:

The Collections Librarian/Manager of Cataloging and Acquisitions provides leadership in shaping the Middlebury Libraries collections in all formats, supervises the merged Cataloging/Acquisitions workgroup, serves as a lead member of the newly formed Digital Projects Committee, and participates in the LIS liaison program.  This position reports to the Director of Research and Collection Services and oversees a budget of over 2 million dollars within a merged library/IT organization that includes a varied staff of librarians, educational technologists, programmers, web developers, and support staff.

Library Serials Assistant – Vermont Law School / Cornell Library (South Royalton, VT)

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processes incoming library subscription materials. Performs daily online check-in for print format serials in Innovative Interfaces (III) Millennium system, checking items for condition and completeness. Stamps, labels, and distributes materials within the library.
  • Identifies materials needing special attention from the Serials and Access Services Supervisor.
  • Receives packages delivered to the VLS library.
  • Coordinates special supply orders for the library’s Collections Management department.
  • Assists with preparing invoices for the payment process.
