Ilsley Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic librarian to provide innovative public service in a team-oriented library. In response to community feedback Ilsley is expanding our outreach, programming, and services for adults. For the first time the library will be targeting adult programs for specific age groups. The Adult Services and Circulation position will work with the Adult Services Librarian to develop metrics for success, plan and implement programs and services, and evaluate programs and services, as well as serve on the adult circulation desk. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience planning and implementing outreach and programming. Customer service is a major priority at Ilsley, and we are looking for an outgoing and energetic candidate who will be motived to go connect with the community. Preferably, the candidate will have experience with evaluation and assessment.

About Ilsley Public Library
Established in 1848, Ilsley Public Library serves Middlebury, Vermont and its surrounding towns with a staff of three professional librarians, nine staff members, and many dedicated volunteers. Its collection consists of more than 80,000 items with an annual circulation of over 160,000 and a total operating budget of over $700,000. It is consistently ranked among the top public libraries in the state for its high program attendance and overall number of visits. The library will soon be embarking upon an ambitious capital campaign to raise funds for renovation and expansion. Ilsley works in close collaboration with Middlebury Community Television, Middlebury College, town government, area schools, and a variety of business and not-for-profit community partners.
Salary and Benefits
The established salary range for this position is $38,000-$40,000. This is a full-time union position (40 hrs/wk), Tuesday through Saturday, and provides a comprehensive benefits package.
