The Town of Bloomfield, CT seeks a dynamic, community-minded Library Director to supervise and
manage operations at the Prosser Public Library (main) and P. Faith McMahon Wintonbury Library
(branch.) The Director maintains a high profile in the community and advocates for the library at all
times. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, creative, flexible, and organized. Experience with
expansion or building of a new library is desired. Working closely with the Library Board, the Director
develops library policies, monitors library services, develops and manages the budget, supervises staff,
and stays informed about developments in library management. In addition, the Director maintains close
connections with the Friends of the Bloomfield Public Libraries and communicates with and provides
information to Bloomfield officials and staff on a regular basis.
Bloomfield, CT is a culturally diverse town of 20,000 people located just north of Hartford with easy
access to Bradley International Airport, CT Rail and Amtrak and close to Interstates 91 and 84. The
Library employs 13 full time and 20 part time staff. Between the main and branch libraries, there were
140,000 visitors to the library last year. The budget is just over $1.7 M. The library offers a rich array
of programs for patrons of all ages at both libraries.

Reference and Academic Outreach Librarian – Vermont Law School (South Royalton, VT)

The Julien and Virginia Cornell Library at the Vermont Law School seeks applications for the position of Reference and Academic Outreach Librarian. This position is part of the reference team that provides reference services to all law library users as well as leads outreach activities to Vermont Law School students, faculty, and staff. The Reference and Academic Outreach Librarian prepares library guides and other research tools for Vermont Law School’s online and residential communities. This position provides leadership in developing and implementing promotional activities and events. The Reference and Academic Outreach Librarian manages the faculty liaison program as well as the reference, rare books, and archives collections. Instructional responsibilities include conducting research classes, and library orientation sessions, with the possibility of teaching legal research courses.

Part-time Librarian – Newbury Public Library (Newbury, NH)

· performing circulation desk operations

This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week, including rotating Wednesday-evening and Saturday-morning shifts. The hourly wage starts at $12.00-$12.50 per hour.
