New England Library Association Extended Membership

Vermont Library Association (VLA) individual members are eligible to join the New England Library Association (NELA) at a reduced rate of $20 annually ($15 for the VLA’s Student, Retiree, Friend, Trustee, or Unemployed membership categories).  When you join VLA or renew your membership, choose the “NELA Extended Membership” box and the additional $20 (or $15) will be added to your account.

NELA membership benefits include NELA News and email announcements, discounts on NELA events and conferences, access to shadowing opportunities and mentors, and connection with library professionals across the six New England states of Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont.  See NELA’s membership page for complete details.

VLA membership includes the quarterly VLA News e-newsletter, discounts on VLA events and conferences, 20 percent reduced tuition for Drexel University’s online Master’s in Library and Information Science, eligibility for continuing education scholarships, access to the Vermont Library Substitute Pool, mentor opportunities, and voting privileges in VLA elections.  See our membership page for a complete list of benefits.
