We are seeking a Head Adult Librarian who will balance three primary areas of responsibility: overseeing the adult circulation desk scheduling and functions; coordination of library technology and social media; and managing most of the adult collection development. This position works many of their hours on the circulation desk and participates in training new staff, substitutes, pages and volunteers.
The ideal candidate must have an MLS/MLIS or a Bachelor’s Degree plus Vermont Library Certification, exceptional knowledge of computer troubleshooting, and prior library experience serving a wide variety of needs. Candidates must work well under pressure and be able to perform multiple tasks efficiently. The starting pay is $24.46 per hour, 35 hours per week, is eligible for benefits and is part of the library’s collective bargaining unit.
