  • An opportunity to gather with fellow Vermont instruction librarians and share our experiences with new tools, developments and trends
  • Featuring brief presentations on developments in instruction at various academic libraries, and time for discussion and questions
  • An opportunity to reflect on the academic year behind us, and consider some new ideas for the future

Some of the topics to be addressed, so far:

Revision of UVM’s general education program, including information literacy
Daisy Benson, UVM
The evolution of outreach efforts to Norwich’s distance learning population
Meredith Farkas and Heidi Steiner, Norwich University
CCV librarians’ move from face-to-face to online instruction, embedding librarians in the course management system (Blackboard), and creation of online tutorials

Use of clickers for interactive instruction
Charlotte Gerstein, Castleton State College
Creation of a required for-credit informatics course for nursing students
Ellen Hall, Norwich University

Coffee and morning snacks provided, lunch is on your own. The college’s Coffee Cottage will be open, serving a variety of sandwiches, smoothies,
and salads. In the village, a short walk from campus, is a deli/pizza place and a diner.
