The Abbott Library is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and friendly individual to complete our hard-working team! This part-time position will be scheduled to work 34 hours per week.
Preference will be given to applicants who are willing and able to work full time in the future as the Board of Trustees recently voted to place a warrant article on the Town of Sunapee ballot in March of 2020 to make this a full-time, benefited position. The Abbott Library enjoys tremendous support from its community and is a welcoming and professional environment.
General library duties will include assisting patrons, shelving, registering new patrons, data entry and special projects. Additional duties will include the publication of a bi-weekly newsletter, the maintenance of the library’s website and social media presence and the implementation of curriculum from Digital Learn and other on-line resources to lead technology classes for our patrons.
Additional duties could include assisting with the development and maintenance of the adult collection and other programming initiatives. Candidates should be personable, cheerful, professional, and enjoy working with the public. Candidates must have computer skills and Internet searching skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of software suites and on-line tools including Microsoft Office, Canva, Mail Chimp, Word Press, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Library experience is a plus but we are willing to train the right candidate. Infrequent Saturdays may be required.
