Library Consultant, Services To Children and Teens – Vermont Department of Libraries (Montpelier, VT)

The Vermont Department of Libraries is hiring a professional to work in consulting, administration, professional development, and program implementation for the Department of Libraries to provide statewide leadership for the advancement of library services and programs for children, teens, and families, literacy and lifelong learning, and access to high-quality literature and library resources for youth. Duties include: on-site and virtual library consulting to public libraries throughout Vermont; instruction and training to empower local library staff to provide lifelong learning programs in their communities, and developing relationships with partner organizations and state agencies which influence public policy related to children and families, literacy, and lifelong learning. Work is performed under the general direction of the Assistant State Librarian for Library Advancement and as part of a team of library consultants.
