Library Director – Milton Public Library (Milton, VT)

The Library Director is the administrator of the library, responsible for the daily operation and development of the library collection and services.  S/he creates and maintains a welcoming environment with a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and offers a variety of public services for all ages.  Working in conjunction with the Board of Trustees, the Library Director continually assesses the community’s needs and interests, implements services and programs to achieve the goals and objectives of the library, evaluates the library’s performance and represents the Library to the community.  The Director also implements the policies and priorities adopted by the Board of Trustees.

Education:
Master’s Degree in Library/Information Science, or equivalent, from an ALA accredited program preferred.

Experience:
Three years of progressive management and supervisory knowledge and experience.
