An unconference is participant-driven program where the attendees create the agenda by selecting topics for discussion and become active participants in the conversation. No question is too small. Share your successes. Connect with colleagues from across the state. VLC 2017 will also consist of the annual VLA Business Meeting, elections, awards and recognition, and section meetings. The unconference format gives you, the participant, the opportunity to drive discussion and Let Your Voice Be Heard. 

Schedule:

8:00-9:00 a.m. Registration, breakfast buffet, and slideshow of Vermont library events

8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Exhibit hall


9:00-10:00 a.m. Welcoming remarks, awards, and recognition. Participants suggest discussion topics for breakout sessions, schedule organized by VLC 2017 planning team.
10:00-11:30 a.m. Morning discussion blocks


11:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Lunch and staggered section meetings for Public Libraries, Academic Libraries, Friends and Trustees, Technical Services Section, Youth Librarians (and VSLA), and Green Mountain Library Consortium. VLA Business Meeting and Election.


1:15-3:00 p.m. Afternoon discussion blocks and breaks

Breakfast, lunch, and all-day coffee is included in the cost of registration. Place your boxed lunch order on the registration page. Gluten-free and nut-free options available.

Your confirmation email is your receipt. Please include a copy if you pay by check.

We’re borrowing an idea from the Libraries Transform campaign and encourage you to list your areas of expertise, which we will print on your name tag. It will be another fun way to learn about each other.
