Assistant Director – Tracy Memorial Library (New London, NH)

The Tracy Memorial Library in New London, New Hampshire is seeking an energetic and skilled library professional with management and leadership experience to join our team as Assistant Director.

Located midway between Concord and Hanover and bordered by three lakes, New London is a small, picturesque community with a year-round population of approximately 4,500, which doubles in the summer.  Town amenities include Colby-Sawyer College, New London Hospital, the Barn Playhouse Summer Theater, Town beaches, and easy access to Mt. Sunapee and Ragged Mountain Ski Resorts.  Tracy Memorial Library is a 14,000 square foot facility consisting of an historical building (1820s) which was expanded in 1990 and remodeled in 2007.

The Assistant Director responsibilities include managing library technology, online resources, and adult services. Additionally, they will have some responsibility for collection development, community engagement, day-to-day facilities management, and marketing/communication. This individual will work closely with the Library Director, and is responsible for the Library in the Director’s absence.

Assistant Director – Vermont State College System Libraries (Montpelier, VT)

The Vermont State College System (VSCS) is merging its four campus-based colleges & universities into a single accredited institution. As part of this merger, the current VSCS libraries will be consolidated into a single integrated digital-first library system that serves both the newly merged institution as well as the Community College of Vermont.

Under the general direction and oversight of the VSCS Library Director, the Assistant Director assists the Director in planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and participating in a balanced program of library services for the students, faculty, and administration of the VSCS System. Duties and Responsibilities

The Keene Public Library is seeking an experienced professional to work closely with the Library Director and a service-oriented staff in our vibrant downtown area!  Although the Keene Public Library has been operating with reduced hours and services for many months due to COVID, our doors are once again open to the public with limited hours and services, allowing us to move forward with recruitment for this essential position which has been waiting for the best candidate. JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for managing the library in the absence of the director.
  • Catalogs all materials and maintains library’s OPAC and oversees materials for processing.
  • Oversees ILL service including streamlining the ILL procedures and training staff in those procedures.
  • Oversees marketing and social media.
  • Responsible for purchasing library supplies.
  • Compiles monthly statistics and deposits.
