The Library Aide works under the direct supervision of the Library Director. The primary responsibilities are to supervise the use of the Library after school as well as basic library and clerical responsibilities, including all overdue material operations. The ideal candidate will be competent with middle and high school students and will have a working knowledge of technology.
Student Management:
During school: Aide helps with basic library operations, including student/patron interactions, basic research, locating books and other materials for study and/or for recreational reading, circulation, and basic classroom management.

After school supervision: Aide is responsible for keeping students safe and must be capable of strong classroom management skills. Must be able to aid students in basic research (using books and computers), finding books, and providing book recommendations.
