Career Transitions Web Training

Vermont Department of Library’s career resource, Career Transitions, has a new look and several new features.  This workshop will focus on making you familiar with this complete, self-paced resource that walks job-seekers through the entire process of finding a career from assessing strengths and interests, to exploring new opportunities, to ultimately improving the chances of landing a job.  Career Transitions is a turnkey career resource that saves staff time and effort and provides users with an easy-to-use tool to support their job search from start to finish.  We’ll look at popular features and talk about ways to integrate this resource into your library.
Patrons and Gale Resources:  How to Get Them to Skip Google and Use the Library Webinar

This 1.5 hr workshop will go behind the scenes of Gale resources provided by Vermont Department of Libraries.  Did you know you can put a search box for Gale resources on your library’s web page?  We’ll cover that access point plus more; pick the best one for you and your community!  We’ll also take a look at different ways of configuring the interfaces of your Gale databases to make them as easy to use as possible using Gale Admin.  Lastly, we’ll take a look at accessing and running usage reports – you’ll be able to find out how many people are accessing your Gale resources from home and in the library!  To attend this webinar, follow the instructions below.
